ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
Sasco Contractors Ltd. is an electrical contractor working on some amazing projects in the lower mainland, BC interior and on Vancouver Island since 1985.

With the growth experienced, Sasco is expanding its Estimating team and has an exciting new opportunity at its head office located in Burnaby for an experienced Electrical Estimator who is seeking a rewarding career and being a part of a high performing team.
As an experienced Electrical Estimator you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical projects, ensuring we maintain our reputation for quality and reliability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Work shall include but not necessarily be bound by the following:
- Organize, receive, and respond to tender invites as part of the estimating team
- Quote jobs on time, as per tender documents including contractual terms and conditions
- Determine true costs for each job
- Identify and address potential project risks
- Complete digital take-offs and Accubid data entry using Bluebeam and/or Live Count
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for pricing on bill of materials
- Assist with database (Accubid) maintenance including price updates
- When necessary, collaborate with Division Managers at job closing
- Participate in post tender addendums, value-engineering, and negotiations when required
- Participate in both job kick-off meetings and job post-mortem meetings
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
Education and Experience Requirements
- Certification, degree or diploma in either electrical construction, construction management, engineering, or quantity surveying
- Excellent knowledge on Canadian Electrical Code with updates
- Master electrician FSR A, B or C
- User of Accubid products (BW +, Pro, CO, LiveCount)
- Minimum of 3-5 years on a similar role would be a major asset
- Expert user in Bluebeam
- Office 365 Products
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
