We are looking for a dynamic and client focused Server Generalist for our Calgary branch to make a meaningful impact as a member of the Consulting team! Focused on operations and post-implementation support and training, you will act as a trusted advisor who will provide technical guidance and support to our clients.
Expected Salary Range plus 10% variable earnings
What Your Role at Long View Looks Like:
Manage the day-to-day administration, support, maintenance and monitoring of MS technologies including M365, O365, Azure, and SharePoint
Implement and upgrade various Microsoft technologies
Provide guidance to clients on-site and remotely, supporting their Microsoft technology stack
Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
Participate in implementation of network and system security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
Configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
Recommend the implementation of new technologies and processes
Analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement
Participate in recommending changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
Participate in gathering data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements
Assist in communicating, documenting, and executing all activities related to incident management, problem management, change management and system and/or application installs
Contribute to operational management and technical support of all client network and systems managed by Long View which includes system up-time, system performance, and system enhancements and efficiencies
What You Bring to Long View:
5+ years of experience implementing and supporting solutions relating to Microsoft products including Azure, Virtualization, Windows, storage and backup
Experience with the following:
Active Directory, Azure, HyperV, O365, PHP, SCCM, SQL, and VMWare
Windows 10 operating system imaging, deployment, and management framework, utilizing MDT, SCCM or related technologies
Scripting and automation for systems/service and software management, automated software deployment, and operating system imaging
Ability to produce effective documentation, implementation plans, problem resolution and incident workarounds
Client-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to multiple client environments
