Your Team, Your Impact
The heart of modern data centers is its underlying technology including what links all of the components together. Our field‐proven optical DSP (ODSP) components enable power-efficient data exchange at highest possible data rates through optical media.Custom Digital Design group located in Aachen, Germany develops power- and area-optimized custom IP to enable energy- and cost-efficient implementation of PHY transceivers for ODSP systems.
What You Can Expect
- Support of layout design for pre-assembled macros implementing DSP key functions.
- Silicon testing of fabricated parts including analysis.
- Script-based analysis of gate-level netlists from standard cell implementations following the M1DP flow.
- Extending Cadence LEF generation flow to support multi-patterned metal structures.
What We're Looking For
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields, or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to theories, principles and concepts.
- Experience with state-of-art EDA design tools for digital circuit design (Cadence/Synopsys/Mentor).
- Basic knowledge on DSP algorithms and basic functions.
- Proficiency in standard scripting languages like Unix/TCL/Perl.
- Good communication skills for solving engineering problems in a small team
- Good English (spoken and written)
