About the Role
The Electromechanical Technician plays a vital role in supporting the repair, testing, and quality assurance of medical equipment. Key responsibilities include diagnosing faults, processing customer returns, and participating in structured problem-solving workshops. The technician collaborates with engineering teams to develop testing procedures for new components and contributes to training initiatives. Proficiency in systems like Sage and CRM tools is essential, along with a flexible, methodical approach to work. Candidates should have a strong background in electronics, fault finding, and IT literacy, with additional skills in soldering and experience with medical devices considered advantageous.
Key Responsibilities will include
Recording and processing of customer returned product
Taking part in out of box failure workshops (A3 Problem solving)
Fault diagnosis and reporting
Repairing medical equipment where practical and economical
Testing medical equipment to prescribed processes
Working with engineering to create tests processes for new parts
Participating in training of others, where appropriate
Sage system transactions
CRM completion
Flexible approach to work carrying out reasonable requests where required
Essential Skills & Experience
Electronics and electrical testing & fault finding
Technical background in electronics industry
Methodical approach to work
IT literate with Microsoft packages
History of working with manufacturing systems i.e. Sage or SAP
Able to demonstrate good organisation skills
Good communicator
Desirable Skills & Experience
Soldering skills to IPC J-STD-001
