- HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related subject
- Demonstrable experience in a Mechanical or Electrical hands-on role
- Proficient in using of Microsoft Office Software suite, Outlook, Word and Excel
- Understand the need to take ownership of tasks through to completion.
- Pro-active approach to providing solutions to emergent challenges
- Time management and task ownership

- Conducting tasks in a highly prescriptive environment to support Submarine and shore-based systems and equipment.
- Work as a fully integrated member of the Launcher Surface Support Equipment team. This may involve travel to other UK and USA sites.
- Work alongside technicians and engineers in corrective / preventative maintenance and load testing of lifting equipment.
- Requirement to support occasional overtime and on-call periods.
- Attend training and maintain a Professional Development Record.
- Potential to become qualified as an instructor depending on training, exposure, and experience.
- Operation of overhead crane, Forklift Trucks, Scissor-Lift, Cherry Picker, including working at height.
- Grit blast and paint spray operations
- Strict adherence to all Health and Safety protocols
