Responsibilities:
  • Design and implementation of scalable, secure cloud solutions in close collaboration with engineering and architecture teams
  • Conducting cloud engineering tasks within agile sprints using established best practices and templates
  • Build new cloud environments for customers using native Azure services
  • Use of architectural concepts and reusable components for setting up automated infrastructure, CI/CD processes and supporting tools
  • Presentation of technical solutions to different target groups, from developers to analysts to executives
  • Consulting customer teams and decision makers on technology options, best practices and added value of cloud-native approaches
  • Appearance as a voice of Rackspace in the customer project, with responsibility for quality, technical transparency and implementation success


    • Requirements:
  • Proven experience in performing complex cloud projects, from conception to productive deployment
  • Sound expertise in design, deployment and operation of automated, secure and stable cloud infrastructures (AWS or Azure)
  • Strong customer orientation and willingness to take on tasks such as provisioning, maintenance and further development of cloud-based systems
  • Ability to participate in technical discussions at different levels, from architectural decisions to concrete implementation
  • Application of automation-oriented principles in the context of agile project methods
  • Strong communication and team skills as well as safe action in German-speaking customer environments


    • Experience:
  • Sound experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS and/or Azure, both in the IaaS and PaaS area
  • Practice in the development of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code approaches, ideally with: Terraform, Ansible, Python, YAML, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Knowledge in programming and scripting (e.g. B. Python, Go, JavaScript) and experience in development or DevOps teams
  • Familiarity with common security concepts in the cloud (IAM, KMS, key vaults, role-based access control, etc.)
  • Ideally experience in enterprise-scale environments with direct customer contact
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts in a comprehensible way and to act as a trustworthy advisor.
