The Position

Business Process Improvement (SAP) Specialist

Job Summary

  • Identify SAP improvement opportunities via Value Stream Mapping and/or other input
  • Team Leader coordinates action plans for solutions across the OPERA organization

  • Lead and participate in collaboration across all functions (CSR, IT, Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, etc)

  • Leading multifaceted improvement projects related to SAP implementation across the organization

  • Quantification and prioritization of opportunities

  • Communicate to and drive decision making in Steerco (PMNA leadership)

  • Provide support to traditional I3 activity (CI Program)

  • Define and clarify internal customer needs across all SAP users

  • Troubleshooting activities as needed to support sites

  • Developing and documenting procedures and process to manage SAP capability 

  • Training local site teams on procedures and processes developed

  • Streamlining reporting requirements across supply chain (P2P / MQM / B2R / O2C )

  • Establishing SAP reports as needed per site/function

  • Taking learnings forward to sites that have not gone through the process. Share learning from experiences to better the future implementations

  • Identifying, leading and managing the communication and dissemination of “best practices” across BA Sites -  Sharing & Adoption of Best Practices across implementation sites

  • Willing and able to travel (North America) up to 25%

REQUIREMENTS

  • CI mindset - always challenges the status quo and thinks of optimizing the process
  • Engineering / Data Analytics / Process focused

  • Imerys business process knowledge a plus.

  • IT / Business Systems

  • SAP Knowledge a plus

  • CI (Lean / Six Sigma), VSM, and Problem Solving

  • 3-5 years of experience in process improvement 

  • Bachelors degree preferred (Business, Engineering, Finance, IT)
