Responsible for the overall professional support to the pharmacists within one of the five state regions. Duties will include recruiting and interviewing pharmacists based on workforce needs, ensuring that pharmacists are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and managing the execution of managed care and pharmacy programs.
What You'll be Doing:
- Drives the implementation and execution of pharmacy programs including financial results, labor, inventory, stockloss, security, customer service and profitability of their pharmacies and drive the implementation and execution of pharmacy programs.
- Prepares and conducts performance reviews of Pharmacy Team Leaders, relationships with legal agencies, as well as customer issues and complaints.
- Educates and mentors Pharmacy Team Leaders to be effective leaders as well as communication and organizational skills.
- Holds others accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
- Proven experience with pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Strong leadership and development capabilities.
- Familiar with Meijer pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Ability and willingness to travel daily with some overnight stays.
- Effective communication skills and be a change agent.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Certified Registered Pharmacist.
- 3 years of experience in retail supervision.
- Working knowledge of pharmacy system; working knowledge of operational policies and procedures; understanding of regulatory compliance expectations.
