Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist who is experienced in supply chain management and is a motivated self-starter to support the Secure Processing Operating Unit in Linthicum, MD.
The Supply Chain Planning Specialist's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage on time req release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule.
- Manage material budget for contract requirements. Supporting baselining/EVMS requirements.
- Manage/report and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s) (Cognos, CMEs, IPRS)
- Act as CAM to support Program PLATO/CEAC/EAC activities
- Identify and manage program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements.
- Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
- Monitor and address supplier capacity and/or production issues.
- Maintain strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment that consists of leading-edge technology suppliers.
- Support Program proposal activities (BOE’s creation, CBOM review, etc)
- Support development of supply chain strategy – including supplier development and supplier risk management, which may include development of secondary sources, safety stocks, and buffer stocks
Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist;
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field OR Master's degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field.
- U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance.
- Proficiently experienced in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel.
- SAP experience.
Preferred Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:
- Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning.
- Experience in Earned Value Management Systems
- Control Account Manager (CAM) certification
- Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.
