Position Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise AI Strategy & Roadmap
- Craft and continuously refine a 3‑year AI vision aligned to business goals, identifying high‑impact use cases across Revenue Cycle Management, clinical operations, patient experience, talent, and growth.
- Translate vision into a prioritized portfolio with clear value targets, resourcing, and funding models.
2. AI Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Establish and chair the AI Governance Council; define policies covering model lifecycle, data privacy (HIPAA, GDPR), bias/ethical safeguards, and responsible AI principles.
- Implement monitoring, audit, and incident‑response processes for AI solutions in production.
3. Program Delivery & Center of Excellence (CoE)
- Lead the AI CoE, overseeing solution architecture, MLOps, vendor selection, and agile project execution.
- Create reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and development standards to accelerate delivery.
4. Technology & Data Architecture
- Partner with Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Data Engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure platforms (SAAS/Cloud) for training, deploying, and monitoring models.
- Drive adoption of modern tooling (e.g., vector databases, feature stores, prompt engineering patterns).
5. Value Realization & KPI Tracking
- Define success metrics (cost savings, revenue uplift, quality, adoption) and report progress to executive leadership and the Board.
6. Stakeholder & Change Leadership
- Evangelize AI opportunities, build executive‑level relationships, and lead change‑management initiatives to foster a data‑driven, AI‑first culture across clinical and business domains.
7. Team Development & Vendor Management
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high‑performing cross‑functional team of data scientists, ML engineers, and analysts.
- Evaluate and manage strategic partnerships with cloud providers, AI vendors, and research institutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent business education preferred.
- Experience:
– 10+ years in technology leadership with 5+ years delivering AI/ML products at scale.
– 3+ years defining enterprise AI strategy and governance frameworks.
– Healthcare or regulated‑industry experience highly desirable. - Technical Expertise:
– Hands‑on knowledge of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn), GenAI/LLM ecosystems (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI), and MLOps pipelines.
– Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data architectures (lakehouse, real‑time streaming).
– Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices. - Regulatory & Security Knowledge: HITRUST, HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2, FDA SaMD guidance, emerging AI regulations.
- Leadership & Soft Skills: Strategic thinker, exceptional communicator, executive presence, strong vendor‑negotiation skills, ability to translate complex concepts for non‑technical audiences.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Azure AI Engineer, or Google Professional ML Engineer
- TOGAF, PMP/PMI‑ACP, or comparable project/architecture credentials
Total Rewards
- Salary: $193,000-$265,000
