Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position operates various types of X-ray, Computed Tomography (CT) and auxiliary equipment to

provide diagnostic images for diagnostic interpretations by a Radiologist. This position also performs

clerical and transport duties in the absence of those personnel on an as needed basis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

3. Adheres to policies and procedures of the department as well as those of MMC.

4. Assures quality and correct operation and accuracy of fixed, CT, and mobile radiographic and

fluoroscopic equipment.

5. Maintains safe operation of all equipment and assists in the preparation and administration of

contrast media in the prescribed manner.

6. Meets expectations for age-specific communication to ensure patients and visitors are receptive to

care and are comfortable in their environment. Provides support to parents/guardians.

7. Assures sound judgment effective decision making processes when examining patients and

managing patient/exam information.

8. Adheres to the customer service expectations of the department to ensure patient satisfaction.

9. Determines priorities in workload and completes projects in an accurate and timely manner.
