What you bring to SBHG:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in a social science field preferred.
(1) year of full-time direct care experience preferred
OR
- (1) year experience of non-professional consumer-directed internship in mental health field preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License required
How you will make a difference:
- Promotes and assists clients with self-help skills in the areas of eating, hygiene and grooming and other activity or nursing activities.
- Conducts and assists activity groups and community outings independently.
- Encourages appropriate behavior and providing feedback to clients.
- Accurately documents in writing each client’s attendance and response to activity and therapeutic groups or individual counseling in the individual medical record.
- Prepare meals and snacks, as needed, while maintaining compliance with facility and licensing kitchen/safe food handling procedures and clean up.
- Attends all monthly mandatory All Staff Meetings.
Division/Program Overview:
- 24/7 inpatient voluntary program
- 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59)
- Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
- Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
- Medication evaluation and support services
