Job Summary: This INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST (COORDINATOR) position, is located in an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing Inspector General (IG) Office and is part of the CA 129 RQW. Major Duties:
- THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST (COORDINATOR), GS-1801-10, is to serve as The Inspection System of the Air Force analyst for the IG, managing the Self-Assessment program, providing feedback to FAMs on checklist quality, and compiling information from Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT), Inspector General Evaluation Management System (IGEMS), Inspector General Evaluation Management System - Classified (IGEMS-C), and all current automated systems, to ensure wing/squadron/flight commanders, the wing IG, and inspectors have all required information for directing the Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP). May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
Qualifications: General Experience: Possess experience with military inspection programs and a basic understanding of military missions, service structures, capabilities, and organizational functions. INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST (COORDINATOR), GS-1801-10: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level experience that demonstrates: the ability to plan, organize, and execute a wide range of complex activities for the wing CCIP, which includes planning and conducting inspections, installation mission assurance exercises, and comprehensive readiness exercises that involve coordination with a wide variety of programs and departments; Experience utilizing metrics and analysis systems to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory procedures; Experience interpreting complex laws, Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Air Force (DAF), gaining MAJCOM, National Guard Bureau (NGB), State, wing, and local instructions/regulations relating to deficiencies across all functional areas subject to inspection. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Attention to Detail Customer Service HR Technology Usage Information Management IAW AF guidance, incumbent must complete the wing Inspector General Training Course Inspections (IGTC-I) within 180 days of appointment; must complete Inspector General Training Course Complaints Resolution (IGTC-Q) within 180 days of appointment; and IG appointees for nuclear-capable units will complete the USAF Nuclear Inspector Course within 180 days of assignment. Successful completion of other courses will be accomplished IAW applicable DoD, AF, and National Guard Bureau regulations. Recommend completion of the NGB/IG Advanced Course within one year of appointment.
