Overview:

In anticipation of an award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking an IT Program Manager. You will support the PM on managing all aspects of program. You may be expected to maintain contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer’s organization and manage a team responsible for the operation and maintenance of a Technology Operations Center (TOC) for IT systems, applying program management best-practices (PMI) as well as IT service management, problem management, and incident resolution governance Information Technology Infrastructure Library [ITIL] v4.  

 

Location: This is a hybrid role in Bethesda, MD. 
Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and requires the ability to pass a background check.

What You'll Do:
  • Responsible for leading IT operations management personnel.
  • Experience supporting Federal IT O&M projects.
  • Apply IT operations management and IT service management governance (ITIL) as well as program / project management best-practices. 
  • Support the PM on manages day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope, including coordination of deadlines, training, and other activities to provide effective system changes and process execution.
  • Facilitate information sharing and coordination across teams.
  • Analyze contract pain points and gaps and make process improvement recommendations; implement recommendations as required. 
  • Identifies personnel resources needed and assign individual responsibilities. 
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field of study.  Additional 5 years of relevant experience can be used in leiu of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Min 7 years of experience in IT operations and maintenance (O&M).
  • PMP or ITIL certification.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting contract program initiatives, change control processes, and managing diverse technical requirements.
  • Experience identifying and applying emerging technology, innovation, automation, and digital solutions to optimize IT operations and improve processes. 
  • Experience supporting Federal IT contracts and programs.
  • Experience interfacing with customers to gather and accurately interpret IT requirements.
  • Experience identifying and applying emerging technology, innovation, automation, and digital solutions to optimize IT operations and improve processes. 
  • Excellent writing and documentation skills as it applies to the following:
    • Experience developing and using Work Breakdown Structures and Work Packages.
    • Experience with integrated project schedules and critical path management.
    • Experience with the development and use of System Development Life Cycle management methodologies.
    • Benchmarking IT operational processes implementation of ITIL governance.
Abilities:
  • Experience applying ITIL governance to IT operational environment. 
  • Understanding of ITIL v3 and ITIL v4.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
Nice to Haves:
  • Working knowledge of ITIL v3 and ITIL v4. 
  • Experience transitioning a customer's IT operations (systems, network, infrastructure, applications, etc.) from ITIL v3 to ITIL v4. 
  • ServiceNow experience.
Salary Range:
  • Salary range is $145,000-170,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
