The Position
This role is based in the Site & Services organisation of the site Rotkreuz which is dedicated to providing a workplace where all employees are safe, connected and which allows them to be successful. As a part of Site & Services, the department Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SHE) provides a management system for creating and maintaining safe and healthy workplaces.
Prevention is a foundation for SHE to effectively create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment. In this context, Risk Management processes ensure the identification of risks and enable risk owners to implement preventative measures to avoid damage to people, environment and property. Furthermore, Business Continuity Management supports the Site & Service organization to prepare for, respond to, and to recover from disruption of site operations.
The Opportunity:
As an integral part of the SHE management system, you will focus on the management of SHE-relevant risks and on the business continuity management of site operations.
You define requirements and develop processes for effective risk and business continuity management.
You train SHE-specialists, project managers and risk owners to enable them to conduct, review and regularly re-validate risk assessments as well as to manage control measures.
You plan and manage risk management activities at the site Rotkreuz and ensure their effectiveness.
You oversee and track all SHE risks in a risk inventory and regularly update the SHE officer on risks relevant to the site.
You integrate learnings from past incidents, near misses or unsafe conditions into the risk and business continuity management to create comprehensive and effective control measures.
You maintain a business continuity plan as well as co-organize and hold business continuity exercises for Site & Services.
You contribute to global, Roche-internal working groups to continuously improve processes related to risk and business continuity management and to align these processes across Roche sites.
Who you are:
You hold a Master's Degree in a technical or scientific field (such as engineering, chemistry, environment, etc.).
You have more than 10 years of experience in safety, health and environment within an industrial setting.
You have undergone further education in occupational health & safety, technical safety, fire safety, dangerous goods or similar.
You have expertise in risk management in the context of safety, health and environment and in business continuity management.
You are familiar with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
You are well known to focus on effectiveness, to deliver on commitments, to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.
You are characterized by a high level of social competence and are able to accurately record and efficiently communicate in both German and English.
Preferred:
You have experience in implementing risk management or business continuity measures, in particular in the context of projects.
You are familiar with the ENABLON software platform.
