The Opportunity

Responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and maturing the insider risk program at Abbott Laboratories. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks posed by insiders, including employees, contractors, and partners. The Insider Risk Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure the security of sensitive information and the integrity of Abbott’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of insider risk professionals, ensuring all deliverables meet expectations and industry best practices

  • Oversee and support complex insider risk investigations, providing guidance and analysis

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to ensure high-quality investigative and analytical deliverables.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and effectively collaborate across multiple functions to develop proactive insider risk prevention and detection strategies

  • Lead the development of policies, processes, and workflows for preventing, detecting, investigating, intervening, and mitigating insider risks.

  • Continuously assess and enhance insider risk methodologies, workflows, and technologies to optimize effectiveness

  • Recommend, metrics, KPIs and report enhancements to measure the effectiveness of the program

  • Provide regular briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all investigative and advisory activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience

  • 8+ years of experience in information security, with extensive hands-on experience in insider risk, incident response, threat hunting, or forensic analysis

  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in leading a fast-paced technical program and responding to sophisticated threats

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and conduct investigations, including evidence collection, forensic analysis, and stakeholder reporting

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, digital forensics, and behavioral analytics

  • Strong understanding of insider risk concepts, methodologies, and solutions.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work independently while ensuring alignment with both Abbott’s and stakeholder objectives

The base pay for this position is

$111,300.00 – $222,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
