About the team and the role 

eBay’s Collectibles team owns the development and delivery of our FC Collectibles Initiative with a focus on our launched trading cards category, portfolio of collectibles companies, and the ongoing expansion of FC coverage across the diverse Collectibles vertical.

In this role, you will lead the Collectibles Strategy & Partnerships team reporting to the Senior Director of Collectibles Strategy and Europe.  As the Director of Collectibles Strategy and Partnerships, you will be a strategic leader who will define the long term vision and strategy for Collectibles and ensure that partnerships and inorganic is driving this strategy forward to enable long term, sustainable growth. 

What you will accomplish:

• Drive the development of a data-driven long-term vision and strategy for eBay Collectibles

• Develop materials that effectively communicate insights and recommendations

• Ensures the objectives are aligned with the critical initiatives of the business by working with key partners in the business

• Plays a critical role in partnering with collectibles leadership to land annual plan

• Plans and co-ordinates the roadmap and capabilities to achieve the long-term vision and strategy

• Delivers process design for special projects as they arise

• Builds credibility with business partners to gain support for analysis and recommendations

What you will Bring:

• Deep understanding of the dynamics of two-sided marketplaces

• Ability to break down tough problems into clear frameworks, operate in ambiguity, and with strong data intuition.   

• Proven track record of structuring analyses for complex business problems and partnering cross-functionally with peers to tailor those solutions for the greatest possible impact

• Focused execution, resourcefulness, and able to deliver results in a fast-paced environment

• Experience acting as the voice of the customer and channeling many points of view, synthesizing them to drive alignment even in times of friction or disagreement

• Strong customer and partner empathy

• Experience in ecommerce or marketplace environments

• BA/BS/MBA degree or equivalent, with 10+ years of proven experience ideally within a strategy consulting firm, Investment Bank, and/or in house corporate strategy team

• Knowledge and understanding of e-Commerce industry trends and competitive landscape, collectibles industry experience a plus

The applicable base pay range for this position is dependent on work location. The base pay range in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro and Seattle Metro is expected in the range below:

$205,600 - $274,500

The base pay range for all other U.S. work locations is expected in the range below: 

$158,800 - $2436,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
