Playon is looking for a Strategic Account Manager, Coaching & Team Solutions to builds strong relationships with key clients and delivering innovative solutions to support coaches and teams at all levels.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for owning a portfolio of schools and athletic programs, focusing on expanding adoption of Playon Coaching Analytics, team fundraisers, camp registration tools, and other team-driven products. Partnering closely with coaches, athletic directors, and key stakeholders to understand their needs and demonstrate how Playon solutions can solve their challenges. Developing and executing a go-to-market strategy to cross-sell and upsell solutions, leveraging data insights and customer relationships. You will also be responsible for collaborating with internal teams (e.g., sales, customer experience and customer success) to identify opportunities to sell across the entire Playon ecosystem, as well as act as a trusted advisor, building long-term relationships with coaches and athletic staff.

In this role, you can expect to
• Conduct outbound prospecting to identify new opportunities within existing schools for coach-driven solutions.
• Schedule and lead product demonstrations and conversations with coaches and athletic staff.
• Collaborate with the ticketing and non-athletic teams to ensure consistent messaging and a unified customer experience.
• Become an expert in PlayOn Coaching Analytics and other team-focused tools, staying up-to-date on product enhancements and industry trends.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM, tracking leads, opportunities, and pipeline metrics.
• Provide feedback to the product team on customer needs and market demands, advocating for enhancements that benefit coaches and teams.
• Represent PlayOn at events, tradeshows, and webinars relevant to coaches and athletic stakeholders.


To thrive in this role, you have
• Proven success in sales, account management, or customer-facing roles, preferably in SaaS, edtech, or sports-related industries.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience engaging coaches, athletic directors, or school decision-makers preferred.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams to maximize customer success and identify upsell opportunities.
• Comfortable managing a high volume of accounts and juggling competing priorities.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Familiarity with analytics tools, sports technologies, or fundraising platforms is a plus.
• Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and data-driven sales approaches.
