Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide mentorship and guidance to technical associates, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively and efficiently. This role will develop training documentation, track all training activities, and ensure compliance with company and industry standards. You will work closely with various departments and team leaders to identify training needs and assess skill gaps. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to engage and motivate a diverse workforce.
Position Duties and Responsibilities / % of Time Spent
- Train technical associates: 40%
- Develop Training Curriculum/Documentation: 40%
- Track Training Activities: 10%
- Other duties as appropriate: 10%
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- 4-year College Degree in a related technical field or 20+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of control systems, CNC/MLC, mechanics, hydraulics/pneumatics and factory floor equipment programming
- Ability to tailor coursework to provide the necessary training for Technical Associates to improve the proper abilities for their work
- Knowledge of computer programming and a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- BSEE, BSEET, BSME or equivalent.
- 20+ years related work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Expert Robotic (Motoman/Fanuc/Toshiba/IAI/Yamaha preferred), PLC (Allen-Bradley/Mitsubishi/Keyence preferred), HMI (Allen-Bradley/Mitsubishi/Keyence preferred), Vision System (Cognex/IFM/Keyence preferred), Barcode Scanner (Cognex/IFM/Keyence preferred), CNC/MLC (Fanuc).

- Will supervise associates
Software:
- Basic experience required in Windows, MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint
Essential to Job Functions:
- Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting
- Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the work day
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
Work Environment:
- Requires 5% travel
- Open-Office Setting
- Factory Setting with Noise
