The Role

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer incoming calls in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Provide guests with the requested information concerning the hotel and its service as well as the surrounding area
  • Process all incoming reservations received via phone, email, internet, or in-house correspondence
  • Audit reservation and rate details against rate profiles and third party booking systems
  • Verify cancellation and no-show revenues against rate profiles and third party booking systems
  • Manage group rooming lists and block setup in PMS
  • Coordinate with concierge to book recreation activities and packages
  • Enter third party payment information and ensure data security

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Desire to participate as part of a team.
  • Complete knowledge of hotel rooms and meeting related services available.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers exercising patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Must possess proficient computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as internet.
  • Comprehension of the reservation sales process.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
