We’re looking for an Equipment Scheduler to join our team based in Braeside. The Equipment Scheduler is responsible for the efficient allocation and planning of fleet equipment to support upcoming jobs. This role ensures the availability, readiness, and timely dispatch of equipment to meet customer and operational requirements. The Equipment Scheduler works closely with transport schedulers, hire coordination teams, and operations to ensure seamless execution and coordination of fleet movements.

What you'll do:

• Assign fleet equipment to jobs based on availability and operational requirements, for this you'll plan and coordinate fleet movements to ensure efficient utilization, ensuring all equipment allocations align with project timelines and customer commitments.
• You will collaborate with Transport Schedulers to organize deliveries and returns and work closely with the Hire Coordination Team (HCS) to integrate job details, ensuring the correct fleet is allocated; maintaining communication with Operations & Field Teams to address any on-site scheduling adjustments.
• Ensure equipment is serviced, inspected, and ready for dispatch and liaise with maintenance teams to schedule servicing without disrupting operational commitments, monitoring the fleet's availability and proactively plan for downtime.
• Update and manage scheduling systems to maintain real-time visibility of fleet availability and track and report equipment utilization, identifying areas for improvement, maintaining accurate records of fleet allocations, job assignments, and scheduling decisions.
• Address scheduling conflicts, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations and respond to urgent requests and last-minute changes efficiently, working closely with transport teams to optimize routes and reduce unnecessary fleet movements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and operational guidelines when scheduling equipment and maintain adherence to company policies, environmental regulations, and transport laws.

To thrive in this role, you'll have the following skills and experience:

• Experience: Prior experience in logistics, equipment scheduling, fleet planning, or related fields is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Knowledge: Understanding of fleet operations, equipment logistics, and maintenance requirements is advantageous.
• Education: A relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or business is preferred but not mandatory.
