Job Summary:
The Legal Operations Analyst will support the Legal Department’s operational activities with a primary focus on the implementation and ongoing administration of an enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system. This role will assist in process improvement initiatives, system requirements gathering, data analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance legal operations efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) System Support:

  • Assist in the requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment of a new enterprise CLM system.
  • Provide ongoing support and administration for the CLM system, including troubleshooting issues, managing user access, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT, Procurement, and legal stakeholders to ensure alignment on system capabilities and business needs.

Process Improvement & Data Analytics:

  • Analyze legal department workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Use data analysis to identify trends, measure contract turnaround times, and support decision-making.
  • Maintain dashboards and generate reports to track key legal and operational metrics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Act as a liaison between Legal Operations, Procurement, IT, and other business units.
    • Gather requirements from internal stakeholders to refine legal operations processes and reporting structures.
    • Participate in vendor management, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations.

Reporting & Presentation Development:

  • Create and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports on legal department activities and performance.
  • Develop presentations and executive summaries for legal leadership.

General Legal Operations Support:

  • Provide administrative support for other legal technology tools and platforms.
  • Support knowledge management initiatives by organizing and maintaining legal department documentation.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed by the Legal Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Entry-level to 2 years of experience in legal operations, project management, business analysis, or a similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with or willingness to learn CLM systems, legal technology tools, and reporting platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with database querying, SQL, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Project Management & Analytical Skills:

  • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, or Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Quick learner with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to drive independent problem-solving while thriving in an evolving environment.

Salary/ Wage Range

$56,500.00 - $83,000.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
