About the Role:
AppLovin is looking for a creative and highly skilled Marketing Manager, Internal Events to design and execute engaging experiences that strengthen company culture. In this role, you will lead employee engagement initiatives through innovative events, large-scale offsites, and team-bonding activities across global locations. You will also manage an Employee Engagement Sr. Associate (Engineering) to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.
Responsibilities:
Planning & Execution of Global Events & Offsites
- Develop and maintain a strategic calendar of high-impact internal events and global offsites to foster employee engagement and strengthen company culture.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and leadership to design experiences tailored to business objectives and team needs.
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale company events in the Bay Area, while guiding global teams on seasonal events (e.g., holiday parties).
- Lead end-to-end planning of company offsites, including venue selection, travel coordination, agenda development, and activity programming.
- Collaborate with facilities, IT, and catering teams to ensure seamless execution of all events.
- Source and manage external vendors, ensuring high-quality production, logistics, and cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee complex event budgets, track expenses, negotiate contracts, and ensure fiscal responsibility without compromising quality.
- Direct event logistics, including travel arrangements, websites, collateral, attendee communications, and swag distribution.
- Gather participant feedback to continuously improve event experiences and drive engagement.
Team Management & Support:
- Manage the Employee Engagement Sr. Associate (Engineering) to ensure alignment on execution and strategy for internal events.
- Provide high-level support and guidance for engineering team events as needed.
- Support Swag Coordinator and Employee Engagement Sr. Associate with Employee holiday gifting.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in event planning, specializing in high-impact, memorable experiences.
- Experience planning luxury multi-day destination events.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with professional, solutions-oriented communication.
- A creative mindset and a passion for producing unique, engaging events.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience leading a team of event professionals.
- Advanced budgeting skills, including expense tracking and contract negotiation.
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly advanced spreadsheet functions.
- Must be based in the Bay Area, CA.
- Must be willing and able to travel internationally 3-4 weeks per year.
