 Job Description: 

Reporting to the Director, Payroll, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for
India including salary employees and interns (students).

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Process payroll changes – new hires, compensation, cost centre, transfers, LOAs, terminations, banking, taxation, deductions in accordance with company policies and in conjunction with HR.
  • Balance competing demands and deadlines while ensuring adherence to legislation and company pay policies.
  • Collaborate with employees, managers, fellow Payroll team members, HR, Finance, payroll vendor and various government agencies. 
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting of all pay elements in the GL.
  • Ensure compliance - stay current on legislative changes and enforce as required.
  • Participate in system implementations and upgrades.
  • Assist with various audits – governments, SOX, etc.  
  • Maintain documentation for payroll processes and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement projects related to payroll processing and reporting.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable – and successful – working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative
  • Collaborative, enthusiastic, positive outlook
  • Applicant should be tech-savvy.  Workday and i-admin experience would be ideal.
