The Product Compliance Manager is in charge of managing products compliance and the regulatory impact over trade compliance. Considering the variety and complexity of the areas covered, there is no requirement for the incumbent to have all the knowledge. He/she will have the support of external specialists and will work in close collaboration with internal stake holders.
Accountabilities:
- Regulatory Watch: Track emerging regulations in the areas covered, organize a legal repository for the areas covered.
- Compliance processes: Develop compliance processes in collaboration with parent and sister companies. Draw up the relevant procedures.
- Risk Management: Prioritize compliance actions with a risk-based approach and considering the business priorities, in collaboration with the legal departments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Organize collaboration with the company teams and other Brunswick divisions to ensure a synergized approach the compliance; Grow and maintain product compliance awareness upper in the supply chain (Parent company, suppliers)
- Legal Repository: Create legal summaries and guidance for internal use.
- Reporting: Ensure accurate reporting to Regulatory Bodies, Product Responsibility Organizations. Answer official enquiries regarding the spheres of activities or provide the needed support to the operations to answer such enquiries. Organize and co-ordinate inspections by regulatory agencies, governmental bodies when required
- Guidance: Provide functional guidance within the supply chain, to product / procurement managers to ensure compliance at source. Provide guidance to meet customer’s requirements in the compliance sphere and help customer service answer their specific requests.
- Training: Develop courses and conduct training programs in the areas of responsibility
- Company Policies: Operate in line with company policies and procedures, especially relating to quality management system, the company ethics program and the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies. The incumbent has an obligation of disclosure to the legal representatives if he/she is aware of any issues that could involve the responsibility of the company legal representatives.
- Product Certification processes: Identify when and where specific processes of homologation, certification or registration should be put in place. Take the necessary steps to obtain these certifications and put the processes in place to maintain them
- Product Documentation & Labeling: Based on specific EMEA compliance requirements identified, define documentation and labelling requirements for the product to be distributed in these markets: specifically, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and owner’s manuals as well as Classification Labelling Packaging (CLP) information. Convey the necessary information to the parties concerned in BME to enable them to take the necessary steps for compliance, with the support of external specialists, as appropriate.
- Product Databases: Make sure that BME Product Databases and Customer Master Files include any compliance related information: product certification, homologation and specific documentation required.
- Environmental & Trade Compliance: As the subjects (and regulations) of Product Compliance, customs, trade compliance, sustainability & environment are interlinked, the Product Manager could be in need to expend his support to the EMEA mercury organization on those subjects.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Academic Bachelor or equivalent experience. Hazardous Materials certification.
- > 5 years in Logistics / Supply Chain.
- Previous regulation advisory role or experience in a compliance/legal department is required.
- Strong understanding of product compliance regulations in Europe.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office: Computer proficiency with standard software packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
- Customer Orientation: persuasive, diplomatic and tenacious. Quality Management System awareness
Our offer:
This exciting position is a Global Grade 13 and offers a salary of between €75,000 and €97,500 (payable in 13.92 instalments). Please be aware that this range represents the pay range for all positions within the job grade in which the post falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, and location (country). We also offer the following benefits:
