The RE/MAX, LLC Enterprise IT Department is seeking an experienced Senior Windows Systems Engineer who is motivated and highly skilled. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex Windows-based systems on-premises and within the Azure cloud environment and administering OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint. The individual ensures optimal performance, security, and scalability across all platforms while troubleshooting and resolving issues.
This position involves developing and administering infrastructure strategy, technical standards, process automation, and performance analysis. The individual aims to provide high-performance, scalable, secure, and resilient systems using industry best practices and innovative approaches. Additionally, they manage the configuration and maintenance of OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint, ensuring seamless collaboration and data integrity. They apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve technical issues, maximizing the benefit of IT systems investments. This position also acts as a mentor to other Infrastructure Operations staff.
Essential Duties:
- Design, engineer, and deploy new infrastructure solutions and enhancements to existing server, storage, and security systems.
- Design, implement, and administer Active Directory Group Policies and company security policies.
- Design and perform server and security audits, system backups, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
- Design, configure, and manage Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive environments to ensure optimal performance, security, and user accessibility. This includes developing governance policies, troubleshooting issues, and providing end-user training and support.
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improvement or further utilization.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems to meet business objectives and processes.
- Create and maintain documentation related to system architecture, integration design, system configuration, and technology roadmaps.
- Research software and systems products to support recommendations and purchasing decisions.
- Provide 24x7 support and problem resolution for infrastructure and operational issues and escalate application issues.
- Monitor and report on the overall performance of system and network services to
ensure availability and visibility.
- On-call rotation is required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- BS in Information Technology or a related technical field plus eight or more years
of related experience.
- Microsoft Certified disciplines in Azure.
- Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of
computing systems, applications, and related products.
- Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software
management best practices.
- Proficiency in Azure and Entra is a key requirement. This includes proper
architecture and maintenance, domain migrations, complete domain builds, Active
Directory, Exchange (all versions), IIS, DHCP, DNS, SQL, File, and Print server roles.
- Deep understanding and working knowledge of IAM, SSO, and MFA (Active Directory, Okta).
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft OS, including all flavors of Windows Server and Workstation.
- The candidate will also demonstrate an overall knowledge of data center technologies, including TCP/IP. networking, SANs (Storage Area Networks), backup systems, and data center facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages, such as VB-Script and PowerShell, for data center automation.
- Good project management skills.
- Solid customer service orientation.
- Strong ability to multitask and resolve issues with urgency.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Hire Range/Rate:
$96,000 - $141,000
Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
