Part-Time, Hourly Pay Rate: $24.38 - $29.25 per hour, No Benefits.
SUMMARY: Reporting to the Special Projects Director, the Café Facilitator will implement Family Friend & Neighbor (FFN) Provider Cafés, as part of a collaboration of Go Kids, Inc. with First 5 Monterey County (F5MC) staff and the Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE) to implement a project for FFN providers as part of QRIS in Monterey County, also referred to as Quality Matters.
ESSENTIALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
· Re-establish connection with FFNs served through IMPACT 2020.
· Outreach for participants will include those FFN Providers served through IMPACT 2020 as well as new FFN providers in Las Lomas and Pájaro regions of Monterey County.
· Implement approximately 4 Provider Café cohorts (of approximately 20 Providers) that will meet twice per month for approximately 1.5 hours each session (anticipated to be once in-person and once virtually) offering facilitated conversations based on the Parent Café Strengthening Families Framework.
· Adapt the Strengthening Frameworks curriculum for FFN providers highlight of social emotional well-being and nurturing adult-child interactions. All materials will be available in Spanish and English.
· Provider Café facilitator(s) will support IMPACT/QMMC FFNs in developing a QIP with up to two goals aligned with the child development knowledge or strengthening families/protective factors. Go Kids will have access to HUBBE DataBase to enter the QIPs and QMMC will monitor progress.
· Collaborate with F5MC Evaluation Staff to support F5CA IMPACT Evaluation efforts.
· Implement an evaluation survey after each Provider Café session.
· Provide incentives for café participation, including food for the in-person cafe sessions and materials that are in alignment with the Café’s theme to encourage completion of evaluation surveys by all participants in attendance.
· Use relationship-based strategies sensitive to family language, culture, and context.
General:
· Coordinate with Special Projects Director to engage in evaluation, monitoring and continuous quality improvement activities aligned with F5MC and collaborative partners.
· Coordinate with Special Projects Director to submit timely quarterly invoices and reporting.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Resident and/or familiar with Salinas F5MC priority zip codes and experience in Community Outreach working with FFN providers within Monterey County.
· Demonstrate ability to empathize and communicate comfortably with people of diverse backgrounds.
· Must be organized, creative, independent and self-motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, detail-
oriented, flexible in scheduling and prioritization, and driven by excellence.
· Must possess exceptional communication skills to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form, including accurate grammar and business correspondence knowledge.
· Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective business relationships; demonstrated ability to communicate in situations requiring tact and poise; skilled in confidentiality and discretion.
· Thorough knowledge of office administration (including using Zoom as a tool to deliver presentations virtually) and skilled in customer service and employee relations.
· Must present a neat, professional appearance.
· Must be able to multi-task, and focus with composure, in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities.
· Requires a good sense of humor and belief in working as a professional cohesive team member.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred; and two to three (2-3) years of experience working with children/families; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience and sensitivity toward interacting and contributing within a community of multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and socio-economic diversity a plus. Must be able to pass a fingerprint and criminal clearance. Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish required. Must have at least 12 ECE units.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures with conformance to the prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from government entities, employees, managers, clients, and the general public. Bilingual/Bicultural in Spanish/English required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables, occasionally in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in conditions that would be in risk of radiation exposure. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can sometimes be noisy.
