Home Office: Johnson County Office (JCO), Union County Office - Manion (UCOM), or Alexander County Office (ACO). Location is dependent on office space availability.

Registered Dietician Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Registered Dietician in the State of Illinois with a Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in clinical or community-based nutrition programs. Strong skills in health education, patient engagement, and program evaluation.
Registered Dietician Position Summary: The Registered Dietician will lead nutrition-related education and preventative services, focusing on addressing chronic health issues such as heart disease, cancer, chronic lower respiratory disease, and unintentional injuries through evidence-based practices.
Develop and implement nutrition education programs, including food demonstrations and classes.
Conduct individual participant assessments to develop personalized nutrition plans.
Oversee the use of nutrition assessment tools, including Hemoglobin A1c and Lipid Profile Testing Kits.
Manage food distribution services, including sample recipe kits and meal planners.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to integrate nutritional services into broader preventative care.
Evaluate participant progress and provide reports on program outcomes.
Provide training for staff and volunteers on nutrition-related topics to enhance program delivery.
Create educational materials, such as brochures and infographics, tailored to participant needs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dietary guidelines and implement innovative practices.
Support participants in setting realistic, achievable health and wellness goals.
