JOB SUMMARY:
Provides leadership and direction in Customer Experience and CAD/CAM Drafting team in accordance with customer requirements while supporting all aspects of the product line. Manages the day-to-day operations and interactions with other Midmark departments.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Guides staff to communicate with customers to support promotions, quote and design support, and product changes
• Coordinates activities to improve efficiencies within the team. Tracks and posts updates of improvements
• Maintains a positive and creative work environment
• Develops, evaluates, and improves quoting and manufacturing methods
• Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design to ensure efficient production methods
• Confers with management staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to efficiently facilitate production processes to support the sales team
• Provides direction of layout and design to the CAD/CAM Drafting team to ensure product is both able to be manufactured, and engineered to best fit the intended functionality of the design
• Provides support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on design
• Coordinates price increases, literature changes and new product information with Advertising, Product Managers, and Customer Experience
• Provides input for strategic planning and sales forecasting
• Interfaces with others in the organization and customers to jointly determine customer needs and solutions
• Supports corrective action and continuous improvement themes for the team to improve efficiencies within our facility
• Works with other Midmark departments, including outside sales force where necessary to resolve conflicts and resolve customer problems
SECONDARY DUTIES:
• Reports facility wide metrics for quality, OOBF, Discounts, Warranty, etc.
• Assists Customer Experience and CAD/CAM Drafting team when in a behind condition
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:
• High level of business acumen and comfort working in a cross-functional environment.
• Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills with ability to influence.
• Strong analytical capability with demonstrated adeptness at problem-solving and ability to not only view details but also understand big picture implications.
• Flexible, detail oriented and able to quickly act under pressure and meet deadlines.
• CAD experience desired.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills required (Advanced excel preferred).
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D software.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads and directs the work of other teammates and typically has some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
