We’re looking for a friendly, well-organised HR Coordinator to join us. You’ll be the first point of contact for HR support for our Manchester office and UK plants and terminals - supporting with everything from onboarding and employee relations to data reporting and keeping day-to-day HR activity running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to assigned stakeholders groups, aiding the HR team in delivering a personalised HR service that addresses the unique needs of their functions.
- Collaborate with department leaders and managers to gain an understanding of their specific HR requirements, offering administrative support and facilitating solutions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for HR queries, ensuring prompt and effective resolution that upholds company policies and enhances employee relations.
- Manage HR requests with diligence, prioritising and responding to stakeholder communications in a timely and professional manner whether by phone, email, web form or in person.
- Organise and maintain comprehensive records within the HRIS, ATS and benefits portals and software, ensuring data integrity and the accuracy of all personnel records, including starters, leavers, and contract changes.
- Take part in regular catch-ups and HR drop ins with stakeholders to gather insights, provide updates, and capture the evolving needs of each department.
- Conduct exit interviews, under the guidance of HRBP’s and Advisors to gather feedback and suggest potential areas for organisational improvement.
- Administrate the offer and new joiner process in close collaboration with managers and the HR team.
- Ensure robust pre-employment checks and a smooth on-boarding experience that promotes engagement and retention from day one.
- Provide support in managing non-complex ER cases, providing guidance and administration in a manner that maintains confidentiality and compliance.
- Document ER issues, ensuring that all case files are up to date and accurately reflect actions taken.
- Support in facilitating ER meetings, disciplinary hearings, and grievance procedures etc, ensuring all processes are carried out fairly and within legal frameworks.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and be able to apply in a business context.
- Support the annual performance review process by preparing necessary documentation, coordinating meetings, and working with managers to ensure timely completion of all review forms. · Support line managers in the effective implementation of performance improvement activity with their people.
- Collect and compile HR data and assist in creating regular reports on key HR metrics for the wider HR team's review and as required by the business areas in remit.
- Under direction, perform basic data analysis to provide insights into HR trends and assist with the preparation of presentations or summary reports.
- Support the periodic review of HR policies, ensuring that they remain up to date with current legislation and reflect best practices within the industry.
- Help customise policy implementation plans to accommodate local operational practices, promoting understanding and adherence across all stakeholder groups.
- Play a key role in internal and external HR audits, preparing necessary documentation and evidence to demonstrate compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Regularly review and update HR trackers and systems, ensuring complete audit trails for all HR activities and full accountability across the stakeholder spectrum.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Level 3/5 CIPD qualification, or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to export, review and analyse data with charts and dashboards
- Previous HR administrative experience
- Intermediate level skills in Word and PowerPoint and the desire to further develop these skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
