Hybrid Emergency Communications Manager bei Quest

At Quest, we know that trusted communication saves lives. That’s why we’re looking for a skilled Emergency Communications Manager to join our South Florida team and serve as the primary communications lead during emergencies and crises, including hurricane season.

In this role, you’ll coordinate with leadership, public agencies, and media to deliver clear, accurate, and timely messaging during high-pressure events. From natural disasters to urgent community alerts, you’ll be the voice people rely on when every second counts. 

💡 What You’ll Do:

    •    Lead strategic communications before, during, and after emergency events

    •    Execute real-time messaging across media, press, and digital platforms

    •    Monitor news coverage and public sentiment to adjust messaging as needed

    •    Draft and deliver press releases, alerts, and community notifications

    •    Serve as the key liaison for emergency response coordination

    •    Work alongside senior leadership and emergency operations teams

    •    Manage multiple priorities with precision and professionalism

🌀 Hurricane response experience is strongly preferred.

We’re seeking someone who understands the urgency, complexity, and communication protocols required for severe weather events in South Florida.

🛠️ What You Bring:

    •    Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (AA or BS preferred)

    •    5+ years of experience in emergency communications or crisis management

    •    Experience writing and executing communications during hurricanes or natural disasters

    •    Strong writing, editing, and public speaking skills; Bilingual

    •    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

    •    Calm, collaborative, and confident under pressure
