Hybrid BCS Dance Instructor (Part-Time) bei Bethel Christian School

Overview:

Bethel Christian School is a Christ-centered elementary school dedicated to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and energetic Dance Instructor to join our team part-time. This instructor will lead engaging, age-appropriate dance classes for students across various grade levels, choreograph for school performances, and foster a fun and encouraging environment that aligns with our Christian values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach weekly hip hop dance classes to students (K–12)
• Choreograph routines for school performances and events
• Create a positive, disciplined, and faith-aligned learning environment
• Adapt instruction for different age groups and experience levels
• Ensure choreography is age-appropriate and completed on time
• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to engage students
• Communicate regularly with administration and collaborate with other staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Prior experience teaching dance to children, preferably in a school or studio setting
• Strong background in hip hop and the ability to teach foundational skills
• High energy, enthusiastic, and enjoys working with children of all ages
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Committed to upholding Christian values and modeling positive character
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through on responsibilities

Preferred:

• Experience working in a Christian or faith-based educational setting
• Basic knowledge of classroom management techniques for young students

Hours & Compensation:

• 6–8 hours per week
• Primary teaching day is Monday (open to slight adjustments)
• Compensation -$20/hr

Requirements

• Experience in teaching dance, preferably in a Christian or community setting.
• Strong proficiency in one or more dance styles (e.g., ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and connect with students of various ages.
• A background in performing arts education or a dance-related degree is a plus.
• Must demonstrate a personal commitment to faith and the mission of Bethel Church.
