Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity through its Indonesia entity, PT AHK Testing Indonesia, who is looking for a Field Inspector to join our team. PT AHK Testing Indonesia provides independent analysis and inspection services to the metals, minerals and solid fuels industries. The Field Inspector will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of field inspections for mining commodities including coal, metals, and minerals.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

Essential 

• Strong understanding of sampling techniques for coal, metals, and minerals.
• Knowledge of draught surveys and weighbridge operations preferred.
• Familiarity with marine operations, cargo stuffing, tallying, and loading/unloading processes.
• Ability to accurately document field observations and prepare daily and final reports.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of ISO 17020, ISO 17025, and relevant ASTM or ISO standards for sampling and inspection.
  
• Experience in one commodity (coal/metals/minerals) is acceptable; experience in all is preferred.

Required Work Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in field inspection or mining operations is highly desirable.
• Experience in the metals and minerals sector is a plus.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of SMA/SMK (technical or relevant background).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address field irregularities.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external coordination.
• High adaptability to changing field conditions and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to manage field activities across multiple stakeholders.
• AISI certification or formal training is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills are welcome to apply.
• Willing to work in the field, perform physical tasks, and be assigned across various AHK locations in Indonesia.
