Summary of Position

The Port Intermodal Warehouse Manager oversees operations at our intermodal warehouse facility. This leadership role manages daily logistics, ensures safety compliance, and drives operational efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate has over five years of warehouse or intermodal experience, strong team leadership, and proficiency in logistics software and warehouse equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic oversight and day-to-day operational involvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping.
• Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and safety standards are maintained.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely material flow.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize warehouse layout and processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehouse management experience or intermodal experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to manage diverse teams.

Software Proficiency

• Microsoft Office (advanced)
• Power BI or Tableau (reporting)

Tools & Machinery Skills

• Forklift operation (certification preferred)
• Pallet jacks and hydraulic lifts
• Handheld scanners and barcode systems

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and leadership
• Problem-solving and decision-making
• Adaptability and time management
• Attention to detail and safety awareness
• Conflict resolution and team motivation

Educational Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Warehouse and Logistics.
• Experience working in the stevedore industry.
