Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior eCommerce Merchandising Specialist with 5-7 years of dedicated experience to lead the management and execution of our online merchandising programs. The ideal candidate will be a digitally savvy, data-driven, efficient, organized and proactive professional who can drive significant revenue growth and enhance the user experience through a performance-driven, test and learn approach and iterative improvements across programs. This role requires a strong background in ecommerce merchandising tools and specialties (promotions, reviews & ratings, UGC, searchandising, etc), website and mobile app content management, a/b testing strategies, 3rd party vendor management, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Location: This position can be based out of our Minneapolis/St Paul twin cities office in Osseo as hybrid/remote or our headquarters in Hackensack, MN.
Key Responsibilities
- Merchandising Program Management: Own and manage merchandising programs for optimization, consumer experience, and program/revenue growth.
- User Experience (UX) Enhancement: Champion UX improvements by analyzing user behavior, identifying friction points, and collaborating with ecommerce and design teams to create a seamless and efficient shopping experience.
- Content and Banner Management: Oversee the planning, creation, and deployment of all on-site content, including promotional banners, marketing messages, and educational materials, ensuring they are timely, relevant, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Searchandising: Strategically manage on-site search, sort, and product filtering to optimize product discoverability and conversion rates.
- A/B Testing: Develop, execute, and analyze A/B tests to optimize site performance, content, and user flows, driving data-informed decisions for iterative improvements.
- User-Generated Content (UGC) & Social Proof: Manage and optimize customer reviews, ratings, Q&A and UGC programs to build trust and increase engagement and conversion.
- Performance Metrics & Analysis: Regularly track and analyze program performance and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Lead and manage multiple concurrent e-commerce projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between ecommerce, marketing, and creative teams to ensure program initiatives are aligned, well-coordinated, and executed efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, program management, or a similar role.
- Proven expertise in A/B testing methodologies and leveraging data to inform decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing on-site search, navigation, and product filtering (searchandising).
- Experience with reviews and ratings platforms (e.g., Bazaarvoice, Yotpo).
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (BigCommerce), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau), and content management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly collaborative, with strong communication skills and a proven ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proactive, self-starter who is performance-driven and passionate about creating exceptional digital experiences.
