Job Summary:
The Process Improvement Engineer is responsible for a wide variety of manufacturing process engineering and production activities in the Rolling production department.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate & implement Lean Manufacturing principles across the department’s material flow paths, and must gain a complete view and understanding of the area's manufacturing process to be successful.
- Primarily focus on tactical projects in the areas of safety, recovery improvement, training, and production.
- Coordinate efforts on process improvements, including capital projects, reliability excellence, and will support and lead the execution of problem-solving efforts related to process and machine improvements.
- Focus heavily on data analysis utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc. driving for process improvements and standardizations.
- Lead focus team to improve aerospace quality on Airforce Mill.
- While this role works primarily daytime shifts M-F, the incumbent must be flexible to work off-shifts as needed to support the functions of this role.
Qualifications
You have:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- 3 years of previous manufacturing experience.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Exceptional Candidates also have:
- 6 years of previous manufacturing experience.
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organization
- Experience with the application of lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing setting
- Experience identifying and assisting in resolving process-related problems
- Strong business, technical, computer, and analytical skills (from educational background and/or manufacturing experience.)
