Hybrid Operations Manager bei Rio Grande Co.

As our Operations Manager, you’ll take the lead in running key divisions like Fireplaces, Hardware, and Inside Sales. If you're driven to lead people, improve processes, and take ownership of your team’s success, this is where your impact will be felt every day.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with the Division Manager to execute on business strategy and operational alignment
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members across multiple operational areas
• Lead and develop non-exempt employees through coaching, accountability, and team-building
• Support operational managers in order procurement, fulfillment, and customer service excellence
• Own inventory accuracy for the Fireplace Warehouse through cycle counts and tracking processes
• Build strong vendor relationships to ensure smooth AP/AR processing
• Champion a “Safety Always” culture across yard, warehouse, and office teams
• Monitor staffing levels to optimize coverage and control overtime
• Oversee facility upkeep and coordinate repairs or replacements when needed
• Set the tone for efficient communication, resource management, and performance standards

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in operations management within construction, building materials, or distribution
• Experience leading non-exempt teams in warehouse, sales, or logistics environments
• Skilled in labor scheduling, inventory management, and customer service standards
• Clear communicator with strong delegation and accountability practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and inventory tracking software
• Knowledge of OSHA compliance and workplace safety best practices
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work primarily performed in a climate-controlled office (frequent sedentary work)
• Occasional lifting, bending, standing, and warehouse/yard walkthroughs
• Occasional local driving (non-CDL)
