JOB PURPOSE
This position supports the Partnerships & Curriculum Director and the mission of the Church Partnerships Department with assisting in the administration and strategy for the department’s growing network of partners and programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with the operational administration of For the Church Cohorts, Contextualized Leadership Development, For the Church Institute, and other Church Partnerships programs.
- Contribute to strategy for local/regional/national networking opportunities
- Provide administrative support for Pulpit Supply program as needed
- Administration for minimal number of on-campus events
- Various other tasks as assigned by the Partnerships & Curriculum Director or the Vice President of Church Partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
MUST BE CURRENT STUDENT OF MBTS OR SPURGEON COLLEGE, AND
MUST QUALIFY FOR THE FEDERAL WORK STUDY PROGRAM VIA FAFSA
- Christian with high integrity, currently pursuing a relationship with God
- Institutional Relations Division core values required: “Hungry, Humble, Smart, Happy”
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- High level of interpersonal skills required
- Proactivity with discerning immediate priorities and needs
- Organization skills and attention to detail required
- Administrative experience preferred
- Able to pass background screening, including driving record
- Eligible to work in the United States
WORKING CONDITIONS
The majority of work hours will be in a desk/office environment, for approximately 15 hours/week. There may be team meetings or meals, or events hosted by our department on campus which require face-to-face interaction as well.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at desk or computer station
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- On very rare occasions, there may be need to move materials for an event or a giveaway, and thus it is beneficial to be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
