Report to Partnerships and Curriculum Director

Department Church Partnerships

FLSA Status Hourly, Non-Exempt


JOB PURPOSE

This position supports the Partnerships and Curriculum Director and the mission of the Church Partnerships Department with a focus on developing quality content and curriculum through For the Church Institute while also representing the FTCI platform through various means of communication and promotion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Contribute to development and enrichment of For The Church Institute curriculum and course design.
  • Serve as a relational representative of MBTS to churches, organizations, and individuals partnering with the school in For The Church Institute and other Church Partnerships programs.
  • Encourage registrants and groups in For The Church Institute toward engagement, completion, and retention via a promotional strategy and communication plan.
  • Various other tasks as assigned by the Partnerships & Curriculum Director or the Vice President of Church Partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

MUST BE CURRENT STUDENT OF MBTS OR SPURGEON COLLEGE, AND

MUST QUALIFY FOR THE FEDERAL WORK STUDY PROGRAM VIA FAFSA

  • Christian with high integrity, currently pursuing a relationship with God
  • Institutional Relations Division core values required: “Hungry, Humble, Smart, Happy & Hopeful”
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • High level of interpersonal skills required
  • Proactivity with discerning immediate priorities and needs
  • Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department
  • Able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision.
  • Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency. 
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must show a desire and willingness to learn
  • Must possess a positive attitude
  • Administrative experience preferred
  • Able to pass background screening, including driving record
  • Eligible to work in the United States

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Shared office environment
  • Approximately 15 hours per week.
  • Team meetings or meals, or on-campus events hosted by the department requiring face-to-face interaction with students, prospective students, their families, and other staff and/or faculty members.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at desk or computer station
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • On very rare occasions, there may be need to move materials for an event or a giveaway, and thus it is beneficial to be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
