What You’ll Do
As a valued member of our care team, you will:
Resident Care and Engagement
- Deliver individualized nursing care and administer medications
- Provide emotional and physical support with a resident-first mindset
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and health screening protocols
- Conduct clinical assessments and review lab results
- Supervise restorative and palliative programs and oversee procedures such as catheterization, tube feedings, and dialysis
- Support and mentor Personal Support Workers
- Address resident, family, and visitor concerns professionally
- Document care electronically and work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and Nurse Leaders
- Comply with Ontario’s Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Participate in regular training and team meetings
What You Bring
Education and Commitment to Growth:- High school diploma (Grade 12 minimum)
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or enrolled in RN/RPN program with one year of full-time studies completed
- Minimum of six months of nursing experience in long-term care preferred
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
- You will be required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained within the past six (6) months, as required by the Long-term care home act
- Proof of a negative 2 Step TB test result along with a one-step negative result from within the last 2 (two) months, as required by the Long-term care home act
