As a valued member of our care team, you will:Resident Care and Engagement
- Provide physical, emotional, and social support to residents
- Assist with personal care and daily living tasks
- Promote resident independence through restorative care practices
- Support individual goals outlined in care plans
- Engage residents in leisure, recreational, and social activities
- Report concerns to nursing staff and maintain accurate documentation
- Administer basic treatments under direction
- Comply with Ontario’s Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Participate in regular training and team meetings
What You Bring
Education and Commitment to Growth:- High school diploma (Grade 12 minimum)
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or enrolled in RN/RPN program with one year of full-time studies completed
- Minimum of one-year related experience in health or community care
- Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
- You will be required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained within the past six (6) months, as required by the Long-term care home act
- Proof of a negative 2 Step TB test result along with a one-step negative result from within the last 2 (two) months, as required by the Long-term care home act
