We are looking for a Senior Windows Systems Engineer to help the IT & Web Development in migrating all IT support and services in house. The successful candidate will also be vital in providing technical support to the wider office and team and help play a major role implementing and deploying new IT software and making sure the IT infrastructure is always secure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the IT Manager with the 2nd line systems engineer to ensure server infrastructure is running 24/7
- Maintain Infrastructure monitoring and alerting system
- Configuration and maintenance of IT Infrastructure
- Implement and deploy new IT software
- Training/handover sessions to other IT Ops team members as part of project roll-outs/upgrades
- Identify risks with any IT changes and regularly communicate with the IT manager to enable reporting back to the business
- Write and test runbooks for all maintenance.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 5 years’ experience in Microsoft Windows Server administration
- Current IT certifications (MCSA/MCSE/CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA
- Strong experience with Key technologies
- Remote Desktop Services
- Hyper-V 2019
- Power Shell
- Microsoft Azure services to support/extend on premise infrastructure
- Windows hyper converged solutions (HCI/S2D)
- Good knowledge of networking protocols and equipment
- Secure infrastructure/architecture design
- Baseline security best practice
- Server monitoring
- Good to have
- Automation skills
- PowerShell DSC
- Visual Studio Online
- IIS
- SQL Server
- Amazon Web Services.
