We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity to join our Student Awards Team, where you will play a vital role in supporting our students through the assessment, administration, and awarding of bursaries and scholarships. 

Working under the direction of the Student Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for administering all University funding schemes in line with institutional procedures, policies, and regulations. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining the University’s strong operational reputation with both students and external stakeholders. 

This is a part time role for 20 hours per week (0.54 FTE)

About the Role

  • Administer a range of bursary, scholarship and hardship funding schemes with accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Ensure compliance with University policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Support the Student Relationship Manager in maintaining high service standards across funding operations. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Finance and Professional Services to ensure service levels are clearly defined and consistently met

About You

You will have
  • An adaptable, decisive, pro-active, organised and detail-oriented individual who can work under pressure. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. 
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. 
  • A genuine interest in supporting students and enhancing their experience. 
  • Finance experience

Additional Information

Salary Grade 5  - Starting from £15,756 rising to £17,574 per annum, pro rata £29,179 -£32,546

The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Interview Date - 7th August 2025

Please note that as of April 2024, there has been a change in the UK’s sponsorship threshold. Regrettably as the salary for this role falls beneath this, you will not be eligible for sponsorship therefore your application will automatically be rejected.
