About the role
We are expanding our Construction team and seeking a Lead Contract Manager (m/f/d) to support and lead construction contracting activities for PV, Wind, and BESS projects within the EMEA region.
As a Lead Contract Manager (m/f/d), with a hands-on approach, you will responsible for Project Specific construction tender activities (EPC, BOP, Light-EPC), by using different contract models (Turnkey, BoS, Multi-lot, Owner-integrated, etc.) for our PV solar projects (including ground-mounted, tracker, and floating PV), BESS projects (Battery Energy Storage Systems), and wind projects across the EMEA region.
What will you do
You will be responsible for maintaining contract templates and RfQ.
You will be responsible for Project Specific construction contract management and tender activities.
You will be responsible for Contractor relationship Management.
You will organize and lead the first interviews with potential new contractors and obtain and review their pre-qualification documentation.
You will propose appropriate companies to the Contract Management Team and the Head of Construction based on documentation review.
You will arrange site visits with one of our Construction Managers to assess ongoing sites of potential new contractors if necessary.
You will initiate legal and financial background checks on new contractors and review the results.
You will oversee the list of already pre-qualified companies and coordinate with the Contract Management Team and Head of Construction to identify suitable first projects for them.
You will prepare tender documentation, launch and lead the tender process, and support contract negotiations.
You will prepare and send out project-specific RfQs, including relevant documents, to selected potential contractors.
You will identify companies to invite to tenders and analyze offers received, with support from the Project Team.
You will finalize the tender process and support contract execution.
You will prepare project-specific construction cash flow forecasts based on construction programs and payment schedules.
You will track construction costs closely and liaise with the Technical Project Lead and Construction Cost Engineer.
What you’ll need to succeed
An engineering degree (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, etc.), a commercial degree, or equivalent knowledge is advantageous.
Solid and relevant experience in contract management for EPC activities in renewable projects across EMEA.
Relevant experience in contracting EPC models (Turnkey, BoS, Multi-lot, Owner-integrated, etc.) for renewable projects.
Relevant experience in contracting BOP models.
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office tools.
Assertive, communicative, and team-oriented, with a structured approach to work.
