Responsibilities
Our client is looking for an Operational Technology (OT) Asset Visibility and Security Engineering Lead to join their team! This position will support in implementing cybersecurity strategies that protect its digital network, connected assets, hosted applications, data, and employees within the Operational Technology (OT) environment. This environment supports critical mail and package handling systems nationwide.
- Lead and coordinate a cybersecurity technical team, managing workload distribution and ensuring timely delivery of project goals
- Serve as the primary liaison between the technical team, Postal leadership, and architecture/strategy teams to align solutions with functional and architectural requirements
- Make key technical decisions that support USPS cybersecurity objectives and operational timelines
- Drive the implementation of asset visibility solutions for OT hardware/software asset management, network access control, USB device control, file integrity monitoring, vulnerability management, and security event investigation support
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience in Operational Technology (OT) security within a large enterprise IT/OT environment is required
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Forescout, Armis Centrix, Splunk (including knowledge object development), Windows/Linux system administration, and database design/implementation
- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects and collaborate effectively across teams
Education/Certification Requirements
- Accredited degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant technical certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical documentation and flowcharts
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Must be able to obtain a US Government Public Trust Clearance. Please be aware that onboarding can take 4-6 weeks for this position.
