Security Guard

As a Security Guard, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • The Security Guard ensures the safety and security of the site, personnel, and assets, including equipment, products, and raw materials. As a visible representative of 3M, the officer promotes a safe environment, deters inappropriate behavior, and provides excellent service.
  • Key duties include conducting routine patrols, responding to emergencies, working with internal teams and city services, reporting policy violations, and performing other assigned duties including managing many logistics tasks. Strict confidentiality and sound judgment are essential

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Previous experience as a security guard

Work location:

  • Hutchinson, MN

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

The starting rate of pay for this position is $28.11/hour. This targeted compensation range represents a good faith estimate and can vary based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
