Senior Financial Systems Analyst presso MDU Resources Corp / Montana-Dakota Utilities (MDU)

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration; and
• Six years related accounting experience with ERP systems, with a minimum of four years of financial analysis and relational database experience.

• Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.

• May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered. 
• Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.  

• CPA or professional certification desired.
• Extensive experience with the JDE ERP financial software and other computer software.
• Regulated energy industry experience desired.

1. Ensure existing accounting systems are properly maintained to meet organizational needs while maintaining data integrity. 
2. Research, recommend and lead enhancements of existing systems and development of future systems, which will enhance capabilities and/or increase efficiencies. Coordinate across business units for alignment and consistency of systems.
3. Serve as primary liaison between accounting and IT departments.  Provide guidance and assistance in analysis, reconciliation, data retrieval and system flow, including the creation or modification of reports to enhance efficiency. Ensure integrations between various systems are maintained appropriately.
4. Assist accounting system users with questions and provide training.
5. Research and problem solve system and accounting issues or problems and make recommendations to appropriately resolve such issues or problems.
6. Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.

Offers typically made between $97,110 - $121,390
