Role Description
We are looking for a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure ecosystem services. Experience in Data & Analytics platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics will be a strong plus. The ideal candidate will work closely with cloud architects, data engineers, and developers to design, implement, and manage scalable DevOps solutions that enable secure, reliable, and automated deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, Git Repos, Boards, Artifacts).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using ARM templates / Bicep / Terraform.
- Manage Azure resources (AKS, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Networking, VNets, Firewalls, etc.).
- Enable secure and optimized data workloads by supporting deployment and integration of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
- Work with data teams to optimize data pipelines, orchestration, and production deployments.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure IAM, RBAC, policies, and compliance are applied consistently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve build, release, and infrastructure issues across multiple environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Git, Repos, Boards, Artifacts).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Proficiency in Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, Monitoring).
- Knowledge of CI/CD best practices and release management.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with containers & orchestration (Docker, AKS, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of security best practices (Key Vault, Managed Identity, Networking, RBAC).
Nice-to-have skills
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL/ELT orchestration.
- Knowledge of Azure Databricks (clusters, jobs, notebooks, automation).
- Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics (pipelines, SQL pools, integration).
