Mood is a modern cannabis company with a clear mission to deliver high-quality cannabis products to an exceptional customer experience. With rapid growth and a commitment to operational excellence, we are building a logistics engine that can scale nationally while staying grounded in compliance, quality, and customer experience.

The Senior Manager of Distribution and Fulfillment Operations will play a critical role in Mood’s production and fulfillment engine. This position oversees light manufacturing (assembly, kitting, packaging, labeling), distribution center operations, inventory control, and outbound shipping. The Senior Manager ensures that daily operations run smoothly, safely, and in full compliance, while driving efficiency and supporting future scalability. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing-lite or assembly-driven distribution environments, brings a problem-solving mindset, and thrives in fast-paced, regulated industries.

This is a high-impact role with significant visibility across the business. As Mood continues to expand nationally, the Senior Manager role is designed as a potential pathway into Director-level leadership. Top performers will have the opportunity to take on increased ownership of P&L, capital planning, and enterprise-wide distribution strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of Mood’s production and distribution center, including assembly, packaging, inventory control, and outbound logistics.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.

  • Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and capacity planning to meet customer demand and operational goals.

  • Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and accuracy.

  • Support budgeting and cost management efforts in partnership with Finance.

  • Coordinate equipment usage, facility layout, and workflow to maximize productivity and prepare for future growth.

  • Build, mentor, and support a high-performing team of supervisors and associates, fostering a culture of accountability, compliance, and innovation.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Compliance, Supply Chain, and other business units to align operations with company objectives.

  • Manage relationships with carriers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks while supporting business continuity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, assembly, or distribution environments.

  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and operational performance.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.

  • Knowledge of compliance, safety, and quality standards; experience in regulated environments such as GMP, ISO, or FDA preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills; exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies a plus.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a high-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
