About the Role

Under broad direction, the Education Partnerships Lead is responsible for building and managing strategic educational partnerships that align with the University’s priorities and enhance student outcomes. This includes developing strong relationships with diverse industry and community partners to support student employability and career readiness, while fostering collaboration across the University to drive innovation.

The position also leads partnership governance, agreement management, and outcome reporting, playing a vital role in shaping impactful collaborations and contributing to a dynamic, inclusive culture.

In addition to the above, the Education Partnerships Lead will:

  • Manage productive and durable relationships with a diverse range of relevant industry and community partners, to facilitate and develop educational partnerships that support the industry connection for and career outcomes of students.

  • Ensure connection between industry and relevant university stakeholders to support curriculum innovation and co-design, work integrated learning and delivery of other relevant learning experiences.

  • Report on educational partnership outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.


About You

As the successful Education Partnerships Lead, you will bring experience in building and sustaining strategic partnerships that create real value for students and stakeholders. You will be confident working across complex environments, with strong skills in project management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. Your ability to communicate clearly, negotiate effectively, and manage relationships will be key to your success.

You will be proactive and solutions-focused, capable of working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. A commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to use data to inform decision-making and meet contractual obligations, is essential. You will also bring leadership experience to support staff performance and development.

Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students)

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) provides administrative support to key strategic and operational functions of the University’s student-related and academic services. Under the general portfolio, the Office team support Portfolio leadership and facilitate dialogue between key service areas to help the Portfolio ensure Flinders’ educational offerings are innovative, of assured quality, and are student centred.
